to my dismal surprise I have found out that the cover illustration of your publication of the Diary of a Man in Despair by Friedrich Reck-Malleczewen badly distorts & falsifies the famous painting The Wounded Angel by Hugo Simberg. I must hereupon express my deepest disapproval and indignation of that kind of grievous assault on a painting so dear to very many Finns. It has no relations whatsoever to the Nazi era. I cannot think that this kind of image manipulation may attain its goal & dare to propose that you should withdraw and destroy that particular edition immediately.
